Content and topics:
During the course we will learn about modernism and modern contemporary architecture. Through different types of classes (lectures, workshops, excursions, company/studio design visits, meetings with architects) we will learn about history and philosophy of modernism, discuss its influence on contemporary architecture, discover architecture of Wroclaw. We will find out about modern architecture software and learn the secrets of 3D printing. The gained knowledge will be used during the whole course in group activities for project designing.
Learning goals and objectives:
The aim of the course is to teach the participants the history and philosophy of modernism, explain to them how modernism and contemporary architecture are linked. The other purpose is to let students from all over the Europe learn about polish architecture. The main goal of the course for the participants will be to try to redefine modern spaces in a contemporary way throughout the design process.
