IBS Helsinki: Studying in e-Space

General description

The concept of university studies is in continuous evolution. New

information technologies bring oportunities but also challenges. How far can

we go in virtualizing university education? What could be the shape of a

utopia virtual university?

This IBS (International BEST Symposium) will concentrate on

discussions related to the use of Internet as a learning environment

in academic world, and on so called Virtual Universities offering

international university courses over Internet.

You will get to know about existing projects and developments, and

discuss about the use of Internet courses from a student's point

of view. And of course you will get to see the real, non-virtual

Helsinki.
