BEST Academics and Companies (BACo)

BACo are conferences gathering companies’ representatives, university professors, students and members of BEST educational team. Their purpose is to discuss about educational topics with a European scope.

  • Sharing ideas and providing input

Engineering competitions

Engineering Competition is an event where teams of students use their technical, social and communicative skills to compete in different categories: Team Design, Case Studies, Negotiation and Debates.

Companies can contribute by:
  • Providing the topic of the competition
  • Leading sessions

Local events

Case studies

Case studies can be organised on different topics proposed by companies for a specific group of students of the local university. The amount of participants generally range from 10 to 100 participants.

Jobfairs

Several local BEST groups organise jobfairs to ease access of students to employers. Recruiters can impress all students of a university at once. These events generally last from 1 to 3 days, and usually receive more than 4 000 visitors. 16 jobfairs were organised by local BEST groups last year, 21 are planned for this year.

Presentations

Companies have the possibility to make presentations in the member universities. The target group can be selected by the company, the presentation will be promoted and organised by the local BEST group.

Company visits

Companies can invite a group of interested students for an excursion to their manufacturing plant, construction site, etc.

Internal events

General meetings

General meetings are the highest decision making bodies of BEST. They gather the most active BEST members, leaders of local groups and members of international teams. There are two general meetings every year:
  • General Assembly (in April, 250 participants)
  • Presidents‘ Meeting (in November, 150 participants)
Companies can recruit and promote with:

  • Logos on event‘s website
  • Providing promotion materials to participants

Regional Meetings

BEST is divided into 8 region, each one of them organises a meeting twice a year. These meetings gather 40 to 100 participants, who are the most active members of their local BEST group.

International teams' meeting

International teams regularly organise regular intensive meetings to discuss and solve issue related to their work. These events generally last 3 to 7 days and gather around 20 participants.
