Rock the rock - Hiking in the Alps

Have you ever climbed a peak of 3000 meters? Have you ever visited three major Austrian cities within 10 days? Have you ever touched the ice of a glacier in summer? Have you ever tasted the spicy BEST Vienna spirit?

No? Then, it is time for you to change that today! BEST Vienna's Leisure Event will take you to unknown heights. Out of 10 days in total, we will spend four days hiking on one of the most favoured and mysterious mountains in the Austrian Alps: the Dachstein.

We will start our trip in Mozart´s native city and end it in Strauss´ hometown. After coming down from the mountains, we will stay for two more days in Hallstatt, the famous Austrian lake-side town which is a UNESCO world heritage site. We will relax in and around the lake and search for the remnants of the Hallstatt culture. Additionally, sight-seeing in Vienna is included as well! All in all, a unique opportunity - do not miss it!

Information for applicants

Selection criteria:

No special experience is excpected; the participant only should be free of giddiness, in a good physical shape and able to survive in the mountains ;-)

Practical arrangements

All of the following are covered by the event fee:

Lodging:

In youth-hostels, mountain huts and hosting at organisers' flats in Vienna.

Meals:

three meals per day (in Hallstatt and Vienna cooked by the organisers)

Transportation:

Transportation during the event is done by means of public traffic (bus and train) As you can see in the schedule the arrival is in Salzburg and the departure is in Vienna!!!
