This summer you'll have the great opportunity to spend the BEST two weeks of your holidays by having a lot of fun, making new friends and at the same time accumulating knowledge on an impressive and interesting topic: Biomechanics.

The course will be developed under the form of lections and practical projects in such a manner that the students can understand and achieve the presented concepts.

Its purpose is to present general aspects, alternatives and problems of Biomechanics applied to sports.

The practical part of our course will be held on sport grounds, open air and sport halls.

You will also have the chance to go sightseeing and discover some of the beautiful places of our country, Romania. Oh, and many other things are waiting for you here in Iasi, too. :P

Academic information

Content and topics:

The course is structured in three modules, with the following didactic parts. Biomechanics in Sportive and Recovery Medicine: Applications of Biomechanics in sportive medicine, Theoretical and methodical foundations of Kinetotherapy, Physical methods in recovery medical practice, Technical means in recovery medical practice, Antropometric Biomechanics. Biomechanics in Team Sports: Biomechanics applied to basketball, Biomechanics applied to football, Applications of Biomechanics in rugby. Biomechanics in Individuals Sports: Biomechanics applied to athletics, Biomechanics applied to other individuals sports.

Learning goals and objectives:

As a follow-up of the Biomechanics studies, the applications in team sports or in individual sports will reveal different training techniques, which have the purpose of raising individual or team’s sportive performance.

Lodging:

The students will be hosted in the student dormitories of the "Gh. Asachi" Technical University of Iasi. There will be two people in the room.

Meals:

Breakfast will be prepared by the organisers. Warm meals will be served for lunch and dinner at a restaurant.

Transportation:

Transportation will be assured by the organisers.
