Renewable energies

General description

Nowadays, energy becomes a big problem because of climate changes and lack of ressources. This Summer Course will make you discover a possible solution to this problem : renewable energies. Indeed, you'll learn how to produce energy from the sun, the wind, biomass, hydrolic sources,... Moreover, you'll also have an introduction about the problems of architecture and climate.

Besides you'll for sure discover some beautiful Belgian cities, and our food like chocolate, fries... and beers :)

Content and topics:

Renewable energies : solar, hydraulic, biomass, wind energies. One lecture about architecture and climate.

Learning goals and objectives:

Learning about renewable energies : how it works, its advantages, introduction to the problem of energy, labs.

Examination type:

written examination.

Information for applicants

Selection criteria:

Interested by the course, willing to visit our country, to meet people from everywhere. Friendly people, really open (minded). Good beers drinker is a plus ;-)

Practical arrangements

All of the following are covered by the event fee:

Lodging:

Students dormitories with individual rooms, close of the learning place.

Meals:

University Restaurant or cooked by us. Vegeterian food available

Transportation:

Train, bus, cars.
