Make it, test it, try to break it!

General description

Have you ever had one of those bad days in which everything breaks?

You roll in your bed and your bed breaks.
You get up, put on some pants and you tear a hole right in the middle.
You take a step and your flip-flops break in half.
You open the fridge and end up holding the door in your hand.
You pick up the jug of milk and it shatters.
You sit on a chair in your kitchen and it breaks.
You put whatever is left of your jug of milk on the table and the table falls through the floor

Is it bad luck or is it, maybe, Science?

It's most likely bad luck, but...

...what is it that keeps things from falling apart and how can you figure out if something will be strong enough to use?

That's what you are going to discover this summer in Timisoara!
Tensile strength, elasticity modulus and other sciency-like names will start making sense to you after our course on strength of materials!

BEST Timisoara presents:

Make it, test it, try to break it!

We offer you the chance to study Strength of Materials and Finite Element Analysis and find out the details we never see about why our everyday world doesn't fall apart!

Of course this happens during the day, but in the afternoon and during the evening it's even more fun!

Prepare for 12 days of awesomeness where you will:

  • Learn how objects break
