Picture Technologies Applications

General description

Picture technologies have enabled scientists to push forward

the limits of the human sight, and though to give a visual

interpretation to many physical phenomena that would have been

hardly seenable without these technologies.

This is the topic, full of both research items and industrial

issues, that has been chosen by the BEST INPG team for its Summer

Course this year.

The ?99 Summer Course in Grenoble will be based on these two

aspects of the picture technologies.

Firstly, some laboratories at the top of the art in the area of

Grenoble will make presentations of their projects ;

Secondly, some industrialists will make a point on the practical

applications and organize visits of their companies.

This event will be a great chance for the participants to

acquire a more concrete vision of this expanding field.

They will also be able to realize that the conception of the

reality through picture helps to observe better, and though to

understand better, this reality.
