Shipped Out On A Tanker: shipping, shipbuilding and logistics in the main port of Europe

General description

As the title already implies, meaning something like "To accept a position aboard a ship and serve as a crew member", our Summer Course will be about shipping in the broadest sense of the word.

Some things you will learn about are the history of the Netherlands as a seafaring nation, shipping and logistics in the biggest harbour of Europe: the port of Rotterdam and shipbuilding now and in the 17th century. Of course this will mean lots of excursions and not only that.

Many cultural and social activities have been planned also, like a visit to Amsterdam, a sailing day, a beach day, camping, and of course the Dutch night life.
