Material Design towards the third millenium

General description

This summercours is all about Material Design. Recent devellopments in

this field of study show that their is a tendency towards "redesigning"

traditional materials. This means the use of common materials like steel

or aluminium, but giving them very specific specifications by perfoming

special treatments.

On this course several Professors will give you an update on the latest

design techniques and possibilities on all kinds of material groups. Also

possible new applications of traditional materials will be highlighted.

Visits to some major industries are included.
