The propulsion of Ariane 5

General description

This event will let students discover how Ariane 5 can take off!

We will have some visits to companies which develop the engines, the fuel and the rocket. Some lectures will be given by the teaching staff of our school, and it will be completed by the visits

in order to learn how the Vulcain engine works, how the combustion takes place

and what the constraints set by the manufacturer are.

Some activities related to space in general are also planned. Thanks to the support of the European Spatial Agency, we should go to Toulouse (south of France), the city of space, and have some visits and conferences about space, current projects and researches, visits of astronauts training center...

Of course, there will be plenty of social activities, explosive parties, and a full week-end

to visit Paris!
