Life in plastic, it's fantastic - Composite Europe

General description

The course will be about polymers and composite materials.

You will learn about their general structure, we will visit different companies producing and processing these materials and manufacture a polymer in a lab. All this will be accompanied by a canoe tour, a trip to Heidelberg, a German brewery visit and a lot more?.

Selection criteria:

You should... ... be interested in material science ... want to get to know Germany and its culture ;-) ... know how to party ... write a short motivation letter

Practical arrangements

All of the following are covered by the event fee:

Lodging:

In each city you will be accommodated in a nice hostel with 4-6 bedrooms with their own baths and showers.

Meals:

at least 1 hot meal per day + breakfast and sandwiches.
