Architecture Identity

General description

The summer course will discuss the problem of architecture

identity in both historical and contemporary context.

It will combine lectures, excursions and workshops,

as well as meetings with architects and town planners.

We will show you the traditional industrial architecture

of Silesia, and examples of historical architecture of

other regions. During the workshops we will cope with the

issue of revitalising and creating new identity for the

post-industrial areas. Problems will range from futuristic

visions to realistic design strategies.

The possibility to exchange ideas, combined with a rich social

part will make this summer course an unforgetable experience.
