History of LBG

The BEST, as an organization, was created by a group of
students in Berlin, Germany in March 1989. The idea! The
creation of an organization "by students for students", which
will offer them the opportunity to enter Europe, promoting
communication, cooperation and exchange of ideas among European
Students. Soon, the idea of BEST was spread and in Greece. A
year later the first Greek Local Group was created in Patra. In
Greece until now there are four groups in four local polytechnic
schools:
Faculty of the University
of Patras (BEST Patras)
Technical University of
Crete (BEST Chania)
National Technical
University of Athens (BEST Athens)
Faculty
of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (BEST Thessaloniki)
BEST Thessaloniki was created in spring 1999 by motivation of
the Polytechnic School students of the Aristotle University of
Thessaloniki. It is aimed at students engineers of the
Polytechnic School and all students studying science and
technology in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, while
members are undergraduate and postgraduate students of A.U.TH.
The Group of Thessaloniki, despite the fact that it is the
latest one, is not lacking in activity than the other
Greek groups.
