(Basic programming skills, such as a programming 101 course in a university. Previous experience on object oriented programming, Java language and web programming may help but are not necessary. )

During the course, each group will design and create a web application that utilizes a RESTful API of their choice. The application is developed with a collaborative web-based development environment CoRED, using Vaadin web framework. At the end of the course each group will give a short presentation and a demo of their work.
Furthermore, you will learn what kossu, jallu and perkele stand for, explore Tampere and the surroundings, experience sauna, long Finnish summer nights and have the full experience of student life in the greatest student town in Finland.
All of these are covered by the event fee.
