When I arrived to Groningen I found a university city with around 50,000 students. Though it was a small city, many cultural and sports events were going on in the city all the time and the night life was quite vibrant due to around 50,000 students studying there. Since locals were fluent English speakers I had no problem at integrating with Dutch culture and it was possible to make Dutch friends as well as friends from many different countries. Also since Groningen University had an excellent Office of International Programs I did not have any procedural problems, especially arrangement of accommodation and add/drop formalities went very smoothly. All in all, Groningen University and Groningen city gave me many memories that I will always want to remember.
